This can be scary, if a bit derivative (you'll be reminded of THE SHINING, 1408, THE MIST, and even the TV series AMERICAN HORROR STORY). Certainly a worthwhile investment, the author provides his perspective on the changes impacting institutional & retail asset management, and provides a rationale for the explosion of new retail-oriented investment products. This book holds the key to identifying passive aggressive behavior in all its forms and helps you to understand the various methods to defend against being sucked into the no win situation. I didn't want to miss the vital little clues hidden in the rich descriptions, and I really enjoyed the style.
There's not a huge amount of action, but things pick up in the second half. I purchased this book from Amazon, without being able to view any of the pictures inside. He describes the operation of private equity with lots of examples that illustrate both successes and failures.
