For an entire book on the latter read the very recommendable Women Who Become Men: Albanian Sworn Virgins (Dress, Body, Culture). I will definitely read this one again. It's unfortunate that these things detract from the story as it really has great potential. It was hard to read because of all of the grammatical errors.. Their was some pages in the rear filled with typos, but the publisher is sending me a new copy, other than that flaw (fixed) the book is a good overview of NT Greek -- and, once the typos are fixed, well worth what I paid for it (actually I both the whole "by Friday" set and am happy with them all). It's set in the old Celtic British Isles, and it's easy to become totally immersed in that world, with its tinge of superstition, smoky homes, bracken-covered slopes, and suspicion of strangers. He also references Jeremy Rifkin's book “Entropy”, reviewed by me elsewhere.
