I admit I like something more conversational!. No one told Sion about soul-mates, all he knew was that he had just met his. What is more interesting is the profound effect of something so subtle. I was having complications with my pregnacy early on with gallstones and later had to have my gallbadder removed when I was 9 wks pregnant. The writing style is clear, authoritative and accessible to a wide audience. This book is a cute idea from a young boy and the illustrations are amazing. Cons: conflicts are juvenile, adults are in the Harry Potter class (ie either stupid and vile or "wise mentors" or detached from reality ). Solid examples, taken from well-known titles as well as the author's work, masterfully illustrate the points being explained, while delightful anecdotes of the author's growth as a writer - his struggles, his mistakes, his triumphs - give inexperienced writers a clear picture of what being a professional in this business really entails.
