It's undated, but on internal evidence, I'd say it was published during the first half of the 1980's. Selftest Software is great and close to the real exam. You won't stress over whether your kids are getting proper interaction ever again.
As a homeschooling Mom, I recommend this book be read first if you are on the fence about homeschooling. The characters come alive for me and they leave me wanting more.. If you are already educating from your living room or playroom, you still need this book. I will definitely read this one again. I knew of the existance of the 37mm and 57mm guns but only that. Quality is consistent enough between the two illustrators. This is especially true in the cases where a given species inhabits certain portions of small islands, yet the whole islands are shaded and occupy the space of a dot on an ocean map.
