Editorial : About the Author Gamon Sakurai is a Japanese comic book artist from Tokyo. Born in 1986, Sakurai was selected for the Afternoon Magazine Four Seasons Award for New Comic Artists. Upon being selected for the award his short story was published and he was selected for editorial review by manga publishing giant Kodansha. Sakurai would make his publishing debut with indie publisher Issuisha in 2010, releasing a short story anthology. He would then work with Kodansha to work on his first feature length series AJIN: Demi-human in 2012
I would have preferred higher resolution and larger graphics but I understand how expensive that can be. Though back then they were hardcover. I love that the vampires weren't romanticized. In this book, Humphrey doesn't get to go home much with students -- instead, he gets out of his cage and goes to the school library to learn things. Sandy is a survivor in many ways and despite the world being a cruel place, she is relearning how to trust and love and be supported and it's an incredible example of how, with the right support, people can survive horrors and heal and grow. Only when Sion and Rya meet, well it affected Sion so much, he could not talk, he stared, he stammered got flustered and well, he turned and left the room! He was so flustered he got Lady Ivy to lie for him and telling the Vasera he needed “time”. It provides for a fast, easy, informative and thoughtprovoking reading. You see I don't like vampire books.
